The perfect fantasy team isn’t a myth, it’s just around the corner if you plan ahead. This season’s nearly over but you can make next year the season to rememberhere are the things you need to get ready to rule your league:
Mobile Internet: Don’t you wish you could be on top of your team ALL the time? Phones make lousy trading and researching platforms so go to a site like Clear.com to get mobile internet for your laptop and consider yourself one step ahead of the game.
Host the Draft: If you host at your place you’re going to have some distinct psychological advantages. Your guests will bend a bit to you and you can even keep a computer up in eth next room in case you need a second screen to monitor changes.
Blow This Season: We know, we know, but if you’re already having a less than stellar season you might as well blow it. Everyone will assume you’re not that good and you’ll be ahead of the pack when it comes to draft picks – brilliant!

The age old question of how to build your fantasy team. Who do you pick first. There are valid arguments for both. You can build a team around a quarterback. A good running back will give you more points over all, to let you have a winning season.

The reason I always pick my QB first is because there are a limited number of good quarterbacks in the league. Many teams use the running game much more than the passing game. Then there is the problem of some teams having the best passing game, losing the QB before the season starts and having an unknown step in to fill the big shoes. You don’t really know what you are getting. If you pick your QB in the 2nd round, you might be left with an unknown or a quarterback who does not make as many plays as the running back on the team.

However, there are equally valid arguments for choosing a running back first. The biggest one being, a good running back can rack up the points for your team. You do not want to delay choosing your running back, because the best ones will be gone in the first round. Yes there are more of them, but only a few get the big yards every game. A good running back can be the centerpiece to a fantasy victory.

The debate over quarterback vs. running back may go on as long as fantasy football exists. The best choice is really what makes your team work. If you enjoy the running game and watching RB’s plow through a defense like they weren’t even there, pick a running back first. If the sight of the ball sailing through the air is the reason you love foot ball, you need to pick the QB first.

For football fans the roar of the crowd can’t be silenced, even if the roar is in a living room. Die hard football fans can not wait for the season to get under way, and finding out what games are must see this week can be tough. Especially when there is so much turmoil surrounding the players union and the league. Regardless of the rumors and news, there will be football and fans are going to want to see the best games, no matter what.

Finding the best games to watch is a matter of keeping eyes and ears open. Look at a variety of sources, never settle for just the standard game, look for the key match ups and teams that are making headlines. This is easy, just look at any sports page, or even watch some debate on television, there are going to be a lot of adamant fans talking about the key games to look for. When in doubt, always support your local team, and go nuts when they score. Finding what games are must see really depends on the fan, but when in doubt, look at what is causing a lot of buzz online, and you’ll be ready for Sunday football!

Anyone can put up points in the NFL, with wild catches, fast runs, and lots of action. However, not just any team can score when there is an iron clad defense in front of them. This is especially true for the modern game, where defense is the key to winning the most games, and triumphing in the Super Bowl. While there are many great teams in football, the best ones are the ones that can keep teams from not only scoring touch downs, but can also block field goals and put pressure on the offense at all moments of the game.

Defense can really make the difference because it will force quarterbacks to get rid of the football faster than they are ready to do so. By forcing snap decisions, a player will get frantic, and is more prone to making mistakes. These mistakes end up becoming turn overs, and that’s when defense shines even more. Interceptions, fumbles, and blocks are the back bone of any major defense, without those key elements, a team is not complete. The most important aspect of the game is not offense, it’s defense. Without a good defense, offense is useless, as there’s no way to control the ball movement, and that’s why it can make all the difference.

Of course any fantasy football player wants a starting quarterback to rack up as many points as possible each week. But you also want someone who is healthy and doesn’t have a history of getting hurt and missing too many games. This defeats the whole purpose of picking him, since his back up will be doing a lot of the playing. Sometimes getting injured is just bad luck, but there are quarterbacks who run a lot, or do other things that constantly put themselves in harms way, and are therefore more likely to get hurt. The full explanation can be found at http://lesterslegends.com/fantasy-football-2011-nfc-east-quarterback-situations/ You also have to research the quarterback’s health history to see if he has any previous injuries that might make him more injury prone. One good hit on that bad shoulder can sideline him for a few games. Keep current with your sports updates and try to find out what shape the quarterbacks are in. A pulled hammy is more likely to occur when a player hasn’t properly prepared or hasn’t played enough in training and preseason games due to contract issues.
If you can get a quarterback who knows the game, is healthy, and is respected by the other players, you have a good chance of having a successful fantasy football year.
